The Pomos Μunicipal Beach is located in the village of Pomos next to the Pomos Fishing Shelter. It is a unique beach made up of sand and colourful pebbles. The sea is calm and crystal clear with a bright blue tint; however, the coast and the seabed are rocky in places.
It is one of the most picturesque coasts in Cyprus, with a length of 300 metres and a width of about 15 metres. Even though it is not a popular beach, there are sunbeds, umbrellas available to rent, as well as toilet facilities. A lifeguard is also on duty during the summer period.
The scenery is beautiful as it combines the sea view on the one side and the Mountain View on the other. The mountain almost falls vertically to the sea, while the steep slopes are covered with pine trees and fruit trees. At the same time, the lacy beaches, with the numerous coves and the pointed small capes, give the landscape a unique picturesqueness.
The beach, between the blue colour of the sea and the pine trees, still remains untouched and almost unknown to the general public, allowing those who care about rest, tranquillity and serenity to visit. Not many tourists know this beach, therefore you are more likely to across more locals. Tourism in Pomos has only begun developing; however, there are some hotels and restaurants in the area.
