Akrotiri Peninsula is a small peninsula which includes the most south area of the Cyprus Island. The peninsula is constrained by the Episkopi Bay to the west and Akrotiri Bay to the east. Also, it has two capes which are known as Cape Zevgari and Cape Gata.

RAF Base (Akrotiri Base)

The RAF Base, Akrotiri is a large military station and more specifically a royal air force station. It is located on Cyprus Island at Akrotiri and Dhekelia areas. It is considered as a British Overseas Territory and is administered as a Sovereign Base Area. For more information press here

The Environmental Education & Information Centre

The purpose of this centre is to inform the visitors and tourists about the unusual nature and the ecological importance of the Akrotiri peninsula area. The centre features interactive displays and computer programs in English. The Environmental Education & Information Centre can be found easily as it is located on the main road of the Akrotiri village. For more information press here

Akrotiri Salt Lake

Akrotiri salt lake (also known as the Limassol salt lake) is the largest lake on the island of Cyprus and is located in Akrotiri and Dhekelia. Akrotiri salt lake measures 10.65 km² with its lowest point at 2.7 meters below sea level and the deepest point of the lake is about one meter.For more information click  here
