The Agios Georgios Harbour is a small harbour located in the area of Peyia on the west coast of Cyprus.
The harbour is mainly used by local fishermen but due to its beautiful location and surrounding area many people visit including tourists as well as locals. Next to the harbour there is also a small sandy beach where sea lovers can enjoy a comfortable sun spot, swimming and a unique sunset.
The area there is very peaceful and beautiful with unspoiled nature and it is recommended for everyone who loves the sea but also hiking as there are sea caves within walking distance. The nature in the area and land formation can also attract nature lovers who enjoy picturesque landscapes.
On top of the hill, visitors can find a a small chapel, built with stone and two bell towers in its two west corners. This is the Chapel of Saint George or Agios Georgios Church in Greek.
Additionally, within the area and more specifically next to the Saint George Chapel you can find the Saint George archaeological site which includes monumental tombs, underground cisterns and various other archaeological findings.
Lastly withing the area just before you reach the harbour on the left side of the area at about 300 meters from the coast you can see the island of Yeronisos, an island of great archaeological and landscape importance.
