Pafitiki Pissa or "Παφίτικη πίσσα" in Greek is a traditional type of chewing gum which is made in Geroskipou, a village in Paphos.
The local crafts follow the traditional way of production preserving its original taste and texture.
The chewing gum is a creamy white colour and comes in the shape of a stick or in chunks.
This chewing gum is made from the substance of Tremithos trees, (Pistacia terebinthus ή Pistacia atlantica, subsp. Cypricola) therefore it is a natural product.
It has a characteristic natural aroma and many healing properties. This type of gum is only used for chewing.
