Panayia Akonopetra Chapel, Pissouri
The Panayia Akonopetra Chapel is situated in the village of Pissouri in the Limassol district. The chapel is dedicated to the Virgin Mary , and was built at the Akonopetra hill, west of the community amphitheatre.
The area belongs to the church of Apostle Andreas and the chapel was constructed with donations from the residents of Pissouri and from Mr. Kyriako Mavroudi.
The chapel was built during 1996 and its inauguration took place on the 12th of June 1997. It is celebrated and operated on the 21st of November as well as the first Tuesday after Easter.
