Cyprus Nature Trails

Nature Trails form one of the most important bases and forest recreations in Cyprus.

The forest department has developed a large number of nature trails in the national forests (in 2010 they were 52 with a total length of 319, 6 kilometres), which offer opportunities of immediate contact and acquaintance with nature, serving environmental education and general information about the environment.

At the same time, the Forest Department, as the authority for planning and promoting the creation of nature trails, cooperated with the Cypriot Organisation of Tourism , the Local authorities and the District Administrations for the creation of nature tails outside the national forests.

As of now there are 99 Nature trails in Cyprus which can be found in the Nature Trails list or you can check them below with more details. These are nature trails which are located in and out of the national forests along with important information for a basic update for visitors.

In addition, it must be noted that the Forest Department is responsible for the management and maintenance of the nature trails in which there is a TD sign in the title of the nature trail.
