The Paphos Carnival returns to entertain the residents of Paphos as well as visitors with its renewed and traditional carnival. The events in this year’s programme begin on Tsiknopempti 20th of February and end on Saturday 1st of March with the Grand Carnival Parade.
In detail, the events are as follows:
From noon on Tsiknopempti , a local celebration will take place at Kennedy Square.
At 5.00 pm . The Carnival King " Pharaoh Moon " will make their grand entrance on Griva Digeni Avenue accompanied by Jake Athanasiades Academy Danceroom School of Dance , School of Fine Arts Lina & Doxa Constandinou, the Paphos Municipality Band and the Cheerleaders of Constantina Chatzievtychiou Academy of Dance.
At 10.00 am , the Treasyre Hunt will take place at 28th of October Square.
At 9.00 pm , professional dances teach Salsa and dance with you in Latin rhythms . Salsa night will take place at Kennedy Square.
The Carnival Parade of floats and groups will begin from Makarios Monument at 3.30 pm through Griva Digeni Avenue , and it will end at Evagoras Pallikarides Avenue.
The Carnival King Pharaoh, accompanied by “ Danceroom” Jake Athanasiades’s School of Dance , School of Fine Arts Lina & Doxa Contantinou, the Cheerleaders of Constantina Chatzievtychiou Academy of Dance and the Percussions Ensemble of the Pafos Music School will accompany this year’s Carnival Parade.
Before the Parade begins , at 2.30 pm the Paphos Municipality Philarmonic Orchestra and the Stelios Karagiorgis “ Mantolinata” will present a programme of carnival hits.
The Parade will be presented by Michalis Sofokleous and Christina Kyriakou.
