The Cyprus Classic Motorcycle Museum is located in the old town of Nicosia, in the Nicosia district. The museum was founded by Andrea Nikolaou and originated as a personal attempt to create a motorcycle museum, due to his love for old motorbikes. Today the museum has 25 motorbikes. The museum houses motorbikes dated from 1914-1983 , such as AJS,MATCHLESS, NORTONS, BSA, MV AGUSTA, TRIUMPH, ARIEL, BMW, MOTO GUZZI, JAMES, ROYAL ENFIELD and many others.
Some remarkable items that are on display are , the three police motorbikes that accompanied Archbishop Makarios , the motorbike of the EOKA hero Stylianou Lena who used the bike in order to transfer guns and weapons , the motorbike of the first champion in Cyprus 1970-1973 Turkish Cypriot Zeki Isa , motorbikes of WWII etc.
Visitors will be able to see the development of technology and the cultural heritage of Cyprus in this area, through the photo archive. One can relive the old times where Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots lived peacefully on the island with the motorcycle as a means of transportation.
The museum also has a screening room with photos from the beginning of the century until today, as well as a gift shop, a spare part shop and a small cafeteria.
