The new church of Panagia Faneromeni is located on the Panagia Faneromeni street on the south side of Larnaca, towards the Salt LakeIn Greek the name of the church translated to "Παναγία Φανερωμένη".

It was built according to the standards of the old church, also dedicated to the Panagia Faneromeni which is located at a close distance. It has a basilica architecture, crossed with a dome and has two bell towers. It is a parish church.

The name of both the old and new church was received after a resident saw a dream. In the dream the resident was shown an ancient Mycenaean tomb at a short distance and then a catacomb which is right next to the old church.

In the same area there were more ancient tombs found which are all dated from the Phoenician period.
